Let’s just say the past few weeks and months have been hectic to say the least. Finally the holidays are completely out of the way, which for me is a big deal (since I love Christmas, and this year traveled home to visit family). After that settled down, I went into cosplay mode, and pretty much haven’t let up since. Marikasan and I have been working diligently to get our cosplays complete for our big competition in February, where we will debut our biggest cosplay to date. And let me just say… this is huge!

Everything about this cosplay is new to us, we decided to really up the ante and do something we had never even dreamed before. We broke out the power tools, professional grade plastics, and tested out some fancy new paints. I am so excited to show everyone the results of our hard work, but we still have a little bit to do before we can finally assemble and finish this project. Don’t worry though, we will have some great stuff to show off, and I hope you all like it.

Not only have we been working on this massive cosplay, but we also get to do something else completely new to us – perform a skit! We have been practicing weekly, and it has been a blast. If you really want, you can check out our first practice of some of our choreography on our YouTube page. I personally find them hilarious… but I’m a bit off, so ya’ll might just think I’m a weirdo.

Foxy Cosplay Katsucon Give-Away

To thank everyone who has been watching us, and supporting us along the way, we wanted to do something special. We decided the best way to do this was to give away presents! Who doesn’t like presents!!!!

The rules are pretty simple:

For fun, we’ll be recording our drawing live, in cosplay, on location at Katsucon. We will upload the video on YouTube – with the winners listed at the end.

According to my poll ran earlier this month  the most popular prize was a “Katsucon Dealer Room Gift” picked by Foxy Cosplay. This is subject to change, as I will probably run a similar poll on Facebook, and I will leave the poll up on my page just in case someone else has an opinion. We will contact our winners when we get back, to arrange for pickup/shipping of the prizes.

Continue reading »]]> Well its been almost a week since Onicon happened and in terms of the con it was one of the worst organized I have seen. This didn’t keep us from having a blast and it gave us a lot of opportunity to hang out with friends and take lots of pictures. We finally go to spend time with the ladies form SeC-C cosplay  and . We had two photoshoots one for CCS and one for Inuyasha cosplays with the super talented and adorable  I can’t wait till she finishes editing our shoots.

We were really sad  and  weren’t able to make it but don’t worry guys it really wasn’t a great con and we can hang out and do shoots any time.

Our next con is Ikkicon, I already have almost everything I need to make those cosplays but of course we have a couple of other projects to do before then.

I am really looking forward to sharing the CCS we already have one but we are waiting for the rest and to see what Angelwing chooses to post before we post any but they are awesome the Inuyasha ones too!!!! Be sure to check out her gallery guys if you haven’t already. She has been doing this for quite a while as a hobby and she is also a cosplayer herself.

Continue reading »]]> Well it has been a couple weeks since I last updated, but even in that short time I have lots to update about. Cons have happened, I gained a new member to my family, and now here I am trying to relax a bit after a really hectic October. I believe I hate October now, the worst things always happen to me during that month.

I suppose I’ll start off with how I got a new puppy – Joey. He is in addition to my other doggy Rox. He’s been sort of a handful, though he is really sweet. I ended up adopting him from a local rescue called Red Collar. He just seems to get along with everyone and is just super cute and nice. Here’s a pic of them chillin’ on my tiny couch:

Getting Joey really helped me a bit when I was feeling super down earlier this month, but with help from my friends I was able to pull through. Though.. I still did end up missing some deadlines for cosplaying

The deadline I missed was for our most recent con adventure – Onicon, where I didn’t finish our Transformed Tessaiga for our Inuyasha cosplays. However, we both knew it would have sucked to carry thatshit around all day. Plus I would have missed out on all of our awesome photos. Don’t worry, we’ll be getting another chance with the Tessaiga, and really the Inuyasha cosplays were super easy to wear and decently easy to put on. I haven’t gotten the images ready from our shoots yet, but here are a few that I managed to post, if you missed them.

And this is just the beginning. We also had an awesome shoot with  for both our Inuyasha cosplays and our other super cute CardCaptor Sakura cosplays. OMG I am so excited to post those  I’ll just wrap up again with a big THANK YOU to all who have been faving and commenting on my cosplays. I <3 all of you! It just makes me so happy ^_^

Continue reading »]]> Well lately things are starting to pick up again. Cosplay things, photoshoot things, website things… fan fiction things, and of course a bit of drawing going on up in here. I don’t really know where to start, but I just wanted to post a journal entry, because sometimes I am a spaz like that.

I get stuck at work, feel this cosplay urge, but can’t do anything to sate it. So my best option is to hit DA and do something. Today it just happens to be a little journal entry where I freak out about all the crap I have to do.

 and  have been hanging around, and we’re just knocking out cosplay photoshoots left and right. You saw images from our Akatsuki shoot, and I took a ton of pics for our Code Geass shoot. Then not even two weeks later, we were back at it again with a Vampire Knight shoot. Holy crap, that ended up being a lot of work for the website.

And I updated our blog to post directly to our facebook, and even updated our gravatars to represent our DA avatars. OMG, i am so proactive.

Well that is what I should think, but really… I haven’t finished any of my ONICON projects, which is about a month away. I have a giant sword sitting on my cosplay table, and a ton of wigs that need sewn together. Here VERY soon, we’ll be announcing who we’ll be attending the con as, but it’s a surprise. Keep an eye on our FB if you happen to be interested. And really… you should be, it will be epic. ^_^

Well… I guess I can just hop off here, but I just wanted to do try and alleviate some of my cosplay jitters. I don’t think this will really help, but oh well. Hopefully it sticks around until I get home and I can actually get something done.

So I spent the past few days trying to think of the best way to handle our ever growing cosplay gallery. It seems that we just keep doing photoshoots every couple weeks, and really it wasn’t going to work for our current gallery layout. So there is a new look to the site, for the main gallery page, and the individual photo shoot pages. I also added in some SEO, which really has nothing to do with our fans, but you know what… I did it, so I want to say something. >.>

Anyways, I hope all the changes are for the best. I’ll be updating our events page, as well as adding a bit more content over the next month or so.

So between  and I, we put a together a little tutorial on how I made the choker for my pink dress Saya cosplay [link]

I though it turned out really cute and there is a lot more you can do with it but those are the basic steps. We are practicing as we will be making tutorials for more complex things. I made it with scraps and things I had laying around but it will look as great as you want depending on the materials you use. She will be posting tutorials for us in the future as well. Well check it out and let us know what you think.

I used a sewing machine (no comments on the antiquity of my sewing machine its my baby even though I have others)  but you can also do this by hand, and hmmm oh I gathered by hand even though I have a gathering foot, I don’t like using it for anything other than petticoats.

Continue reading »]]> I’m very grateful for all the new watchers, favs, and page views. Thank you so much!!! 

I’ve been a bit self conscious ab it so I have not been motivated to write a journal, after all I am by nature an introverted person, believe it or not, but I love sharing my cosplays.

We are slowing down on photoshoots for the time being until the weather gets a lot cooler so we will focus on finishing cosplays. We are getting ready for the next three cons and we have quite a bit of experimenting to do, and on top of it all the other personal satisfactions cosplays we want to do…..I see ItachiXSakura fanservice in our future 

I will keep posts of my sewing progress, I’m bad about that but it shows things aren’t just made overnight (well most of the time) this mainly will go on FB

I’m actually really excited about our Onicon cosplays, we will only be preparing two sets of new ones and we might maybe have Joe cosplaying with us, if he makes it.

For Ikkicon we are only preparing one very special pair of cosplays which is going to be amazing!!!!!! As of right now we only plan on debuting one new  at Ikki, well I don’t count the VK since I didn’t make those but I will finally be wearing Zero to a con as well.

Well keep an eye out, I will be dealing with yards and yards and yards of red fabric again but I am actually really really REALLY excited to get them done, we will be wearing these out on a regular basis grocery shopping, errands, dates….even just to check our dA……yeah that is how big a fangirls we are over this character (and no it is not Suzaku or Shaoran and duh not Haji and Ayato doesn’t wear red either). We will see if anyone we haven’t told can guess and we will be sure announce it before the con.

Continue reading »]]> Just got back from our MechaCon trip and I must say it was GREAT!! The trip to and from was nothing but cosplay plans, which reminds me – I said I would help create the list of new cosplays we intend on doing in the next couple months. I was so excited I even made up business cards… but I only ended up passing out 1…

So where do I even begin on how great a time we had? Well… I guess for starters, if you’re interested in our immediate images, you can check out our Facebook. I just posted a little album of the random images we took. Most of fairly candid, with our actual photo shoots to be posted up soon.

MechaCon 2011 Facebook Album

We did a shoot for our Gai Sensei & Rock Lee cosplays, Blood+ with Saya and Haji and a Sexy Kimono (rather spontaneously). We also re-wore our Madame Red and Ciel cosplays for the cosplay contest, but since they are so exhausting to wear, we changed out of them pretty quickly once the contest came to a close.

I am really upset that I didn’t get to talk more with a few cosplayers we had met, Sec C Cosplay, but I am hopeful that we can spend some time in the future meeting up with them at other cons, and cosplay get togethers.

On a side note, we did do a bit of running around in NOLA, having a few drinks and watching the street performers. We also spent a good bit of time at Howl At the Moon, belting out our version of “My Ding-a-Ling” much to ‘s displeasure. LOL!

Anyways, I’ll be posting up images on our website and here on DA hopefully very soon. Can’t wait to get started on our next set of cosplays!!!!!

Continue reading »]]> Maria and I had been gushing the past months of all we’re going to do with our cosplay group. We did the website and the facebook, but we really wanted to get our name out there when we head out to cons. Sure, we could have done a basic printout, with some info on how to find our group on the interwebs. Though, with a graphic designer on the team, it only seemed right to get a nice rounded business card to go along with the site.

Just recently I finalized designs on our logo, the Foxy, where the F is a cute little tail xD So I was able to use that and come up with a clean looking logo using our goldish coloring. I don’t know, I haven’t exactly picked out our pantone colors, probably should. Anyways, I just wanted to post something good, so what better than our new business card design. ^_^
